Development of Java Applets/Programs for Scientific Use

A current project that I am working on (with Robert Duquet) deals with research on, and prototyping, of object-oriented software for scientific computing. The goal is to develop an extensive set of generally useful classes and modules for scientific programming, and then to write a book on "Scientific/Engineering Programming with Objects in Java".

Examples:

A Web page allowing one to view, and interact with, plots of GBI data - or to retrieve the tables of data used in the plots.

Running Clock with Various Times at the VLA or individual VLBA Antenna Sites

Equatorial Coordinate Conversion between B1950 and J2000

Equatorial - Galactic Coordinate Conversion

Julian Date - Calendar Date Conversion

Fahrenheit - Centigrade Temperature Conversion

Edit and Plot 1-D Functions.

Edit and do contour displays of 2-D Functions.
